This Privacy Policy explains how Acknowledged Development Inc. ("we," "us," or "our") handles information in connection with the LevelUp mobile application (the "App").

1. Who this App is for
LevelUp is a goal-tracking tool intended to be set up and supervised by a parent, guardian, teacher, or coach and used together with a child. Because the App is directed in part to children, we limit data collection to what the App needs to function and we do not use children's data for advertising or profiling.
2. Information the App handles
a) Information you create. Goals, measurable outcomes, steps, progress notes, journal entries, todos, and reminders that you enter. Sensitive free-text content is encrypted at rest on the device (SQLCipher) using a key stored in the device's secure storage.
b) Account information. To use the App you choose a nickname and a PIN. We do not require an email address, phone number, real name, or any social login. The PIN is stored only as a one-way hash (BCrypt).
c) Synced content. If syncing is enabled, the content in (a) and your nickname/ account identifier are transmitted over an encrypted connection (HTTPS) to our sync service and stored so your data is available across sessions and devices. Sensitive columns are encrypted at rest on the server.
d) Usage analytics. The App records anonymous, aggregate usage events (for example: which screens are opened and which features are used, with timestamps and a non-identifying session/device identifier) to help us improve the App. These events are not tied to your real-world identity and are not used for advertising.
e) Device permissions. The App may request permission to show local notifications (reminders) and to access the network (for sync). It does not request access to contacts, the microphone, the camera, precise location, or SMS.
3. What we do NOT do
- We do not sell or rent personal information.
- We do not use the App's data for third-party advertising or behavioral profiling.
- We do not knowingly collect more personal information from a child than is reasonably necessary for the App to function.
- We do not require social-media or email sign-in.
4. How information is used
We use the information solely to: provide and operate the App's goal-tracking features; synchronize your content across sessions/devices; send the reminders you schedule; secure accounts; and understand aggregate, anonymous usage to improve the product.
5. Sharing
We share information only with service providers that host our sync service and process anonymous analytics on our behalf, and only as needed to operate the App, or where required by law. These providers are bound to use the data only for those purposes.
6. Data retention and deletion
Content is retained while your account is active. You can delete individual goals, journal entries, todos, and notes within the App. To delete your account and the data associated with it, contact help@securitasmachina.org; we will delete the associated synced data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law. Uninstalling the App removes the local (on-device) data.
7. Security
We use encryption in transit (HTTPS), encryption at rest for sensitive fields on both the device and server, hashed credentials (BCrypt), and account-scoped access controls. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information using industry-standard safeguards.
8. Children's privacy (COPPA / GDPR-K)
LevelUp is intended to be used under the supervision of a parent, guardian, or educator. We design for data minimization and do not use children's data for advertising or profiling. If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child has provided personal information without appropriate consent, contact us at help@securitasmachina.org and we will delete it. We comply with the U.S. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and, where applicable, the GDPR provisions concerning children.
9. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your data, or to object to certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact help@securitasmachina.org.
10. International users
The App is operated from the United States. If you use it from outside the U.S., you understand your information may be processed in the U.S.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, noticed within the App.
